Treasure hunting
The name "Treasure hunt" is a little Magic for me. It's already an adventure, going to the woods, searching, laughing, and after that, finding the spot!
I started treasure hunting when I was in Copenhagen using the Geocaching app. And I was like a little kid, super excited about finding the next spot. What I loved the most was discovering new places in the city I thought I knew. Small and beautiful. All the family was involved, and it was so much fun trying to solve this mystery together.
In the end, we didn't find so much, sometimes a little box hidden in a plant, behind a lamp. I remember finding a little pot. Inside there was a mini paper and a mini pencil. What we had to do was to write our pseudo on the paper. It was fantastic. We didn't get a "treasure," but a wonderful memory and this one will stay! 💕
That's why it was so inspiring for me. To hide a drawing, a little gift for someone I don't know, is so great. And the picture has a story; it's a quest or a surprise. But it sure is something.
I started with a special event in the town where I live, hiding three Christmas elves in the forest. The purpose was to bring people into the woods, bringing them to nature instead of shops, especially before Christmas. I enjoyed every part of this event, creating the elves, finding the perfect and cozy pot, and going to the forest to hide them.My little girl was sad to let them, but I explained that they were Elves, so they were used to the woods and the darkness. And she was okay. We checked them every day until the end of the event, and the Magic was still operating, even if we already knew their secret spot.
I want my art to travel, connect with people, surprise, and bring joy.
Do you want to find an Elf in your country or city? Just let me know, and they will come to you one day or another.
